No. It is warm steam, at about the temperature of a hand. It is there to dampen the coat and soften knots, not to heat the skin. Even so, as with anything new, start with short strokes so your pet gets used to it.

For both, and on long and short coats alike. The silicone bristles are soft with rounded tips, so they don't scratch or pull at the undercoat.

Warm tap water is enough. If your pet uses a leave-in lotion made for animals, you can use that too. Avoid anything with alcohol or strong perfume.

A full charge covers several grooming sessions. It recharges over USB with the cable included in the box, just like your phone.

Open the head, throw away the collected hair and rinse it under the faucet. Let it dry before storing. Don't submerge the whole brush — the battery side is not waterproof.
